Table Manners

When you play online poker, observing your opponents yields some huge benefits. The insight that casino online observation allows you to gain into what a player may be holding based on his or her actions is invaluable, and will save you a lot of money. When most online poker players make a concerted effort to observe their opponents, they are usually looking for physical tells that will help them sniff out a bluff. This only tells a part of the story.

For the most part, any tells that you find will most likely be telling you to fold your hand, not call a bluff. Also, if you’re only looking for nervous tics or a twitchy eye, you are only going to hear half the story, if that. Looking for inconsistencies in a player’s table manners will help you find more than listening for a shaky voice. Pay attentions to how a player acts during the game-if they are talkative, if they move around a lot, if they frequently make eye contact, anything that stands out. Once you’ve seen how they act around the table, watch for them to change. If a silent player suddenly gets a bit chatty, or if a fidgety player sits still, the change usually means that they are attempting to hide a big hand.
