A flat, sexy stomach complete with six pack abs is the dream for everyone from fitness enthusiasts to the guy who sits on the couch and thinks about exercising. Having an awesome toned stomach is so highly regarded because it is difficult to achieve. In order to get the muscle definition you have to lose that body fat that is covering up your six pack. Everyone is different, but for many, the stomach is one of the last places they lose fat so it can be quite a commitment. To help lose the fat and tone the muscles in your abs there is plenty of abdominal exercise equipment.

One of my favorite workouts is to do some simple crunch variations on a mat at the gym. But when I want to kick it up a notch with abdominal exercise equipment, my first choice is the inflatable exercise ball. These come in various sizes and colors and they can really help improve your workouts if you know how to use them. Doing crunches on the ball forces you to use more muscles because you have to stop the ball from rolling around and keep your balance. There are a variety of other machines at the gym which allow you to set resistance against yourself as you do your crunches, but I like the ball best of all.
